29-Day Giving Challenge

Finally caught up to today... Geez I really should get better at writing these blogs. I had some handmade Nicaraguan chocolate today. I thought it was pretty good... definitely different than what we're used to here. Tasted much more real. As if I could feel all the hard work put into making that chocolate. The thing that made me sad was that not everyone would appreciate it. It did have an interesting taste and I would hate for someone to say, "Gross! Who would eat that?" when really they should be grateful to even have the piece of chocolate that someone else would probably be happy to eat. Hmpf. I've decided to be a lot more appreciative of things from now on. I also went to yoga today. I mean I do every Monday and Wednesday but today I realized (even though she says it everytime) that our teacher says "Take some time to give a thank you to yourself for taking time to come to yoga." And I never realized I was doing myself and my body a favor but I really think I am. See, lately after I got better from my sickness, my quad muscles have really been hurting. Not so bad at first but terrible today. I thought yoga was going to be just miserable but it wasn't. As a matter of fact my quads don't hurt as bad anymore... i don't know what I did but yoga has really obviously helped me! So thank you yoga! (: Anyways so I suppose today I gave to myself for realizing so many new things (and for going to yoga! (: ...) Thanks!

that was a neat thing for your teacher to tell you ... thank yourself. There are probably a lot of things we should thank ourself for doing.

I like the thought you put into trying that chocolate. I always tell my daycare kids how rude it is to say they don't like my food or to say yucky or icky .... I can't force them to eat it, but i tell them to just try it. I also point out to them that everyone likes different things (some people like nicaraguan chocolate, some like swiss chocolate : )
