Day 27
My extra give for the day now seems selfish. At the time it sounded like a good give, and now its all I've got! Today, instead of going home to a project I was looking forward to working on, I spent time with a couple of acquaintances who wanted me to hang out with them. I ended up really enjoying the time, so it doesn't feel like a give at all.

No no! The give is all in the intention. Your intention was that you gave up your own desires because you knew how happy it would make someone else to join them in what they wanted. That's not selfish at all. Far from it. The fact you really enjoyed that time together is just nice result of your own generosity. Nice give

who says that giving has to be a chore? just because you enjoyed yourself doesn't make this any less of a give to your friends. i say enjoy it - there will be more than enough times that giving is less enjoyable. Hugs, Dawn

I think that happens all the time when we give ....... it's not really possible to give without getting something in return. Hey, if you enjoyed the give that doesn't make it any less meaningful ... I think it makes it the best kind of a give, one that's actually a give to them and a give to yourself too.
