I haven't been keeping up so I'll try to remember everything. I know Shannon has been trying to do things with a cheerful heart and not complaining. She helped her dad with wood, swept the floors for me and made me hot cocoa.
On Saturday, I went to a craft show and the first thing I saw was a beautiful framed photo of Mr. and Mrs. cardinal. Cardinals were Mark's favorite birds. We looked at all the vendors and then we finally came to the vendor selling this framed photo. The photo was $89 and another one for $99. I was in tears because the picture was so beautiful and it was so "Mark". I had to suck it up and pay the money. I had it in my hands and saw the same photo in a different frame for $48.00 I was so touched by this beautiful picture, the tears kept coming and I could barely tell the woman why I was crying. So...I gifted myself by buying the picture. It's from Mark. :)
Today I helped clean up the kitchen after church. I do this every Sunday, but I do so enjoy doing it. I gave a gift to my birds (okay, they aren't mine, they are God's because they are outdoor birds). I bought them a heated birdbath. It's important to give the birds water in the winter. There aren't many sources for them (I guess they don't know that if they let it melt in their mouths, it would become water) and they need to bath so they can fluff their feathers to insulate themselves from the cold. Anyway, I bought it and Shannon helped me set it up.
Tomorrow is Day 29 and I'd really like to do something special, but I don't know what to do. I always like to have a plan in case nothing comes to me in plain sight.
