Wow! What an amazing experience! My friend Londa and I arrived at the staging site (Home Depot parking lot) where everyone gathered with their baskets. We thought we would just be delivering the basket we made, but actually ended up delivering five baskets. We also thought that the people who were getting the baskets knew they were coming, but they didn't have any idea! Our first stop filled our hearts with joy! You could just see the amazement, gratitude and appreciation in the person's eyes! We were so touched! She asked who sent the basket. Our instructions were to say that it was from "someone who cares". We floated back to our car and headed to our second stop! This was touching also, as there were only children in the home (we surmised that the parent/parents were working) and apparently the parents of these children had done a very good job in instructing the kids not to open the door under any circumstances to strangers! We just told them thru the door that there was a basket for them and to open the door after we left to bring it inside! Our third stop was to a young Mom with two little boys. and you could see the joy and surprise on her face! She gave us both hugs! We don't know if they are planning a Basket Brigade for Christmas, but if not, we're already thinking about our own little brigade!
