day 28--a tap on the shoulder
today I called and left a message for my friend Sean. we were very very close last year, but have only talked a handful of times since I moved last summer, and I've been scared and cautious about reaching out to him. I'd love to figure out a way to connect even though we're far away, we still understand each other well (and if we're brave we can still be as brutally honest as we are in person!) I miss him.

I know what it's like to lose touch with someone far away. It was great of you to reach out to your friend today, Liz--I really hope you guys manage to get back in touch! The nice thing about all the technology we have hanging around is that it can make things easier in the communication department--free computer to computer calls on Skype, emails that you can answer whenever you have a free moment and in which you can send pictures... And if nothing else, there's always snail-mail! :3
