29-Day Giving Challenge

Day 29: Came and I didn't even know it!!!

I kept thinking I was going until the end of the month! How funny. Well, day 29 was friday and I had an impromptu lunch with a favorite friend. It was spontaneous and quick, but delicious and so satisfying! We talked as fast as we could to get everything said. And my beet salad was SO good. I treated as my gift to her. I am so thankful for her friendship. :)

I realized something that I thought of as a setback was actually a gift. An opportunity missed went to someone else. At first I beat myself up about missing the boat. Then I looked again. It was offered when my dad was sick and I was committed to him. It went to a person that I can see did a great job. I am happy for them. And I have ideas that will be a better fit for me I think. It is so cool when you can see a perceived failure as a blessing in disguise!

January is done. My 29 Gifts are complete. My normal cycle of S.A.D. did not arrive in January. :)
I am not SAD. :) My friend offered that maybe my 29Gifts kept me from being sad this month. It was a journey of revelations for sure. Especially through the journaling.

Thank you Cami for your book and for the gift of this community!

Congratulations for completing the cycle. Love those lunches with friends where you have a million and one things to catch up on. Best wishes for a non-SAD February.
