Day 29 - End of Round One

I woke up early to finish working on a project that I had promised to a customer. That finally finished, I copied several articles that I'm going to send to my son at college-making a weekly digest from home of bits of silly and serious stuff that I know he'd enjoy reading. Also ordered a trial subscription of an international newspaper for my husband that he's been "borrowing" from a friend. One thing leading to another, I decided to make a donation to the charity "Room to Read" which that same newspaper was spotlighting with a funding drive.
I received an invitation from a friend to attend a local Philharmonic concert with him. I was a bit reluctant to go at first, being a famous stick-in-the-mud, but went and had a great time at a FREE 2 hour concert given by fabulously talented musicians. Met some other friends at the concert and a group of us went out to dinner after the concert and I treated my friend to dinner, who had been so kind to include me in his plans for a very pleasant afternoon on a bitterly cold day.
OMG..Day 29! And I think, like the Grinch, my heart might be growing... I feel a little less self concerned and certainly happier.
