I stayed up late last night (after 12 am) preparing some pictures of a friends children for her Christmas card. I have had a lot to do and so it has been pushed off for too long. I figured, I could get the pictures touched up and make a mock card so she could place her order. She has been anxious to get her cards out and was almost going to take some pictures herself. I really wanted her to use the pictures I took because they came out so beautiful! I was able to complete this task and made it to bed by 2 am....late!
Today was a busy day for me. This morning, I spent some time getting a gift together to mail to a friend. It took longer than expected but I got it done and into the mail. I guess that was my first give of the day. I am not going to mention what it is exactly, because the friend knows something is coming. It was fun getting it together and I am even more excited to hear what they think of it!
I spent a good portion of my day working on some photos that I took of my nephew. My sister is also anxious to get her Christmas cards out and I, being the family photographer, was responsible to get the pictures taken, photoshopped and posted. Check, check and check! Phew!
I feel better getting these things off my list and I know that both my friend and my sister will appreciate my labors. I am feeling a little tired at this point so I am thinking it could be an early night! However, I say this a lot before I stay up way past my bedtime! We'll see.
In the middle of the day I had a phonecall from my other sister. I was telling her that I had been feeling a little bit stressed about all of the things that I have taken on (not including the give). There is a lot going on right now and I have many responsibilities and tasks that need my attention, nevermind my 21 month old son. She offered to help me with a couple of my tasks one of which was planning (last minute) my husbands 40th birthday party. It was really nice to be able to admit that I was overwhelmed and have her offer to help me. It was also nice to accept the help, something I have trouble doing. So today, I received the wonderful gift of a sisters care, love, support and help! Thanks K!
Looking forward to a relaxing night, some good sleep and another give tomorrow!
Until then...
