It was Saturday morning and I decided the focus that day was to give with gratitude. Not sure what that would look like but I remained open. In the early evening I went to a new book group and carried a dose of trepidation with me. I had not read the book, yet was very interested and somewhat informed on the topic. But more to the point I was trying something new again which feels a bit uncomfortable. After the group ended two woman invited me to go to dinner with them. I happily agreed, especially since I had been feeling sort of isolated lately. We decided to share a bunch of appetizers. As we ate I was taken with how in sync the 3 of us were with our food choices. It was so easy and nice. Then as we chatted it became obvious that we were all single & glad to find new women to connect with. I felt such enormous gratitude for just how effortless & enjoyable the night turned out to be. I decided to lay down the mask, let go of any heirs and let them know that I have been longing to meet some new single friends, how grateful I felt that they felt compelled to invite me and what fun it was. Turns out being vulnerable, being real was my gift!
