Day 369 :-)
Hi everyone :-)
I really intended to post on Day 365 -- I even had it marked with a reminder on my calendar, but it got away from me in the flurry of 'stuff' . . . so it goes.
I'm astonished that it has been a whole year (+) of giving -- wow! And I can tell you that it has truly changed my perspective. I gave a lot before, but the mindfulness of this process, the blogging, the incredible support in this community of gallant givers, is something I am truly grateful for.
Today's giving has been about 'lending an ear' to a friend with in-law troubles, to another friend with a dad in critical condition (but improving -YAY!), to a student with a granny who is slipping away mentally. so often we just need to be listened to, not advised, not counseled, just really LISTENED to. So today I LISTENED.
I hope that today someone listened to you, whether you had frustration, sorrow or joy to share, I hope someone was there to hear it!

Hey ... for some reason I thought you joined this before I did, but turns out your year marker was a bit after mine (so many different members on the site; it's just hard to keep track).
Yeah, the community here is great ... first site I "joined" and posted things on, and that's a good thing; if some other site had been my first I may have been turned off to the idea of this (I did things on a few other sites after this and those communities weren't anywhere near this positive and supportive).
