Day 4, 5, & 6

A busy, busy weekend kept me away from the computer, but a great deal of giving occurred. Gave warm hugs, compliments, and bought lunch for a very old friend that I reconnected with, and receiving a box of organic vegetables (he's a farmer!) in return. On Saturday, spent the morning buying decorations and ingredients for a cookie party. Although many of my friends could not show, it was a great opportunity to meet new people and I gave the gift of food, drink, sweets, hospitality to many, and welcomes and kindness to those that I did not know. On Sunday I bought lunch for my brother and his girlfriend at a wonderful and hip place downtown, and donated to the Olbrich Garden Holiday Express and Concert event, as I love plants, the garden in general, and hope that even my couple of dollars make a difference. It's currently day 7 and I truly feel that this experience is lifting me through a rough time....I've been feeling very low lately, but planning to give takes me out of that head space and allows me to focus on other things. Today I'm giving a gift of wine to a friend whose party I missed last week, and may donate dollars to salvation army or purchase a movie ticket for the person behind me in line....
