day 4 - food!

My little munchkin was meeting her friends for lunch and we decided that she'd make a bracelet for each. So along witha little help stringing, she chose the pattern of the colored wooden beads, and spelt out their names and arranged them neatly for me to string it for her. Then with great pride she gave it to them both and they weren't that thrilled, but the moms were. At least my little one seemed happy. :)

As for me, I was hosting a party for all my older kids' friends and their parents - about 16 of them or so and itw as a potluck. All I was to provide was drinks and maybe a chip or two. In the afternoon, I heard from one of the moms saying she'd be late because she was tied up elsewhere and she'd have to go home cook the dish and then come in. I offered to do the dish for her instead. I even went ahead and made a large bowl of fruit salad. It felt good to relieve her of the stress, and I didn't mind either.

*note to self: maybe you should try being nice in otehr areas too, this food's getting a bit stale!*
