Day 4 - Food Pantry Dinner
In August, Weight Watchers ran a promotion in which they donated a $1 for every lb of weight a member lost. I needed to lose weight and joined up. The promotion ended October 17th, but I loved this idea and took it a step further.
I invited friends to a dinner in October --a.k.a. Food Pantry Dinner at my home. I cooked a yummy meal and they brought food equal to the # of lbs I lost the prior month. I collected 36 lbs of food for the shelter.
Today, I scheduled the next dinner and sent out the invite to people. I'm hopeful, based upon last month's response after the dinner, they will be coming.
