Day 5

Today I am continuing to read to my mother the book 29 Gifts and the other two books we have selected to read. I think it continues to bless both my mother and me. Also, I am not so disciplined about putting dinner on the table for my family nightly, so for today and yesterday also, I gave the gift of having a home cooked meal on the table. It is one of the things I do for my husband that helps him to feel loved and I don't do it often enough. So the gift of cooking for my family gave back to me because I know that they are healthier because they had a good meal. I also gave the gift of telling the truth to my son on a very difficult issue even though it was not convenient of comfortable for either of us. I don't know what the fruit of it will be, but I am hoping we will both grow from it.
