Today I wrote a letter to a mom of a fellow 29 day giver for encouragement. I also comforted my hubby when he came home from the doctor telling me he is one point on his blood sugar to diabetes (which his father died young of) and that his chlorestoral is extremely high. He is now on a restricted diet of his own. Ironically, he was told to eat a ton of meat including red meat (which I cannot have). He also is restricted to limited sugar. He needs to watch his carbs and fat content too. He can eat a very limited amount of rice and potatoes (I eat a ton of potatoes, and no rice) ! So, needless to say, we had even more fun at the grocery store reading each and every label for him now too and not just me. I think it took about 2 hours! Just when I finally got down all of the foods I can and cannot eat and what brands have what, now I have to remember his foods too :). But, I kept helping when he got overwhelmed and comforted him the best that I can. I know how much it sucks to be told you cannot eat a ton of foods that you love so I wanted to be the best friend that I could be!
