Day 5 - Shoot me

Okay - today was a very rough day. Loud. Loud rough day. I was struggling to even think of giving a gift. One of the days where I had to think backwards to see if there was even a small moment where I was nice.

So - at the end of the day, here's what it came down to. I decided to trust a friend professionally. I needed new headshots done (I'm an actor). A good friend and former student is starting up a headshot business, and I kind of have been avoiding his hints so that I could go to a more established photographer. Less risk involved, right? Today, however, I saw his latest photographic experiment, and decided to (gulp) trust him.

This is a big step cause it costs a lot of money and time. But, I feel like it would be nice to support a friend financially and artistically. After all, if the shots don't turn out great, well, it's only pictures. But trusting him - that will go a long way.

So I e-mailed him and his business partner asking for a consult. Is this a gift? Somebody please tell me it counts.
