I had coffee with a friend this morning and ended up helping her edit a letter for about an hour. We had a good time while we worked, I hope she found my suggestions helpful. I also spent some time on the computer trying to arrange a group effort to help a family in need of TLC and support. The mother is in the hospital indefinitely, the husband travels out of the country often, the teenage daughter who is my daughter's friend is holding down the fort, driving her two younger brothers to and from activities, shopping, etc. This family didn't have Christmas. We know them through the dance studio. I am hoping the competition dance team group will rally behind my Operation TLC and get together cards, balloons, gifts, meals, cookies, anything that we can deliver. It is a great group, so I am hopeful. This afternoon I went to yoga class, my favorite way to end the weekend. The instructor asked us to be mindful of our intention today as we came to the practice. He suggested three intentions that I thought worthy of passing along: peace, time and non-judgmental. I tried to give myself an hour and fifteen minutes of a bit of all three. Happy giving to all!
