Today was a snow day. I never left the house. I spent the entire day at home doing things like reading and working on some crafts. And tonight I'm watching one of my favorite shows - Monk. Yes they are reruns but I never used to watch it when it was on Prime Time, so to me they're all new.
With all the snow we had all day, the real storm just started rolling in tonight. The blizzard. Nemo. I don't understand why they had to start naming winter storms, too, now. I remember as a kid loving a good storm. Thunderstorms, blizzards...my brother and I used to be thrilled about them. Now it just scares the crap out of me every time we have a storm coming in because they bill each one as 'historic' or 'monstrousr' or some other really scary sounding adjective. There doesn't seem to be any other kinds of storms but severe ones nowadays.
Anyway, I had on my mind tonight all those folks still displaced from Hurricane Sandy, here on the East Coast. So, for my give of the day I chose to donate to Family-to-Family, toward their Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts.
