As i was driving to work today, i saw a florist shop by the roadside and i thought of giving flowers as today's gift. This is something i have never done before and was a little hesitant .But then i stopped by the florist and bought five rose buds nicely wrapped in shiny silver paper. As i entered the office, the receptionist wished me good morning with a smile which i reciprocated with a smile and rose bud.She was so happy that it made my day. Then i went to my boss's PA ,an elderly man from South India.I gave him the rose and he was so delighted.i felt more confident and next i went to this young guy in Sales deptt who was quite surprised when i gave him the rose but at the same time, appreciative of the gesture.I told him that this is my today's gift for the 29 days giving challenge.Next rose bud i gave to the elderly guy in finance and the last one to my own team member.I was so happy to see the smiles on everyone's face when i handed them the roses. It was fun and i loved to see how everyone's faces lit up while taking the roses.
I gifted an Aryuvedic sunscreen cream to another colleague of mine as my second gift for the day.Since she is in marketing and is on field half of the day, so i thought this would be of good use to her.
It's been a week now and i am really enjoying giving the gifts with awareness. One thing which this giving process ensures in return is happiness and satisfaction.
