29-Day Giving Challenge

“The world is a looking glass and gives back to every man the reflection of his own face.”

I had a wonderful day today with my family we went to the pictures together and spent time talking as families often do. My son Jonathan cooked dinner while we were gone and it was such a gift to find a meal prepared. I so miss the kids being little and having our big family discussions with our meal. Now quite often Sundays we get together for a meal and share our weekly adventures, joys, frustration and lessons learnt.

The year has passed so swiftly my daughter turns 25 in February and i still remember her a my little girl. We spent many summers by ocean here in Australia often both her and her little brother would run quickly into the water this would frightened me. I recall asking Vanessa why doesn’t she ever look back and she said “ it’s because she knows i am always behind watching over her”. Now i watch my beautiful daughter for the safe distance just close enough for her to feel i am still here for her.

In my reflection of the year that has passed our relationship is evolving in to something beyond mother and daughter but friends and kindred spirits. We continuously give each other the gift of love and my life is so much better because of them and what they give to me.

As Christmas is fast approaching and we wrap presents I like the idea of unwrapping the fond memories of time that has passed and give thanks.

Blessed Sunday
Silvana

Hi Harriet,
Yes time moves so quickly but thank goodness for our memories. I miss those days but i know one day i will repeat the cycle but in the capacity of grandmother. Blessed are our children.

Silvana,
I understand how you feel, my oldest daughter is 20. I remember swinging her in her swing and playing in the sandbox, teaching her to ride a bike etc...where did the time go? it seems like I myself was just 20.
Blessings and love you and your daughter!
