Day 8
Couchsurfing isn't for everyone, but I have met some great people and enjoyed it. Today I picked up A. from downtown Cville and brought her to spend a few days at my place. Never met her before but she wrote to see if she could stay for the weekend and I have the space and enjoy the company. My son is out of town so I could even offer a real bed and not just the couch. So, my gift has brought me a new friend and someone to eat meals with. I also gave her some yarn that I didn't know what to do with and she was happy - she's a crocheter and I'm a knitter. The gift of hospitality.

Couchsurfing rocks! My husband and I have both hosted and traveled using CS and other hospitality sites for about 5 years now (and in several countries) -- and have met so many ownderful giving people! It's funny tho, until you posted it, I never thought of considering hosting as a 'give' -- perspective is your gift to me today! thanks!
