Day 8 - Birthday gifts and a dinner
Yesterday was my mother-in-law's birthday. She is one of those people who never does anything for themselves, and It's a very rare moment that she buys herself anything new. Because of this, I like it when Christmas and her birthday role around because she's so easy to find something for. She had been talking recently about a few things she has, which are very meaningful to her, that need fixing, so we made sure she would have the funds to do that plus go out and spoil herself a little. We gave her this as we had dinner at a restaurant she's been wanting to try but had never gone to, and she was very pleased. She's been through a rough spot lately, and it was nice knowing she would be able to take her mind off those things bothering her even for a short while and do some nice things for herself.
