So yesterday was day 8. I had one of the best days I have had in a long time. My friend Rachael is visiting so it makes me more motivated since both of us are looking for work right now in the same ent/host/producing/internet/ field. We went to free yoga in the park in the morning which was wonderful I always felt that yoda SHOULD be outside....so when you are in the soluting to the sun pose there is...well actually a sun to solute to. Anyway, we went for my fave coffee bean after and she bought me mine (her gift of the day) which I appreciated since I am low on funds lately. I had a great conversation with a man who books comedy on the road and he might have potential work for me- I also put an e-mail about my hosting class that I teach, and I got a bite on that as well!!!-the only reason I bring that up is because I feel that it has to do with the momentum of giving. I am now looking at my gifts and wondering how can I GIVE my talents? I also trust the universe will compensate giving of talents. I just needed the drive to put them out there. Which I am beginning to feel. Because of the giving challenge? who knows. But it can't hurt:)
So randomly yesterday I gave my friend who is staying with me a t-shirt of mine that says GRACE AND EASE. I felt it would look better on her, and I knew she would wear it. She laughed when I gave it to her and said "ohhhh is this your gift of the day?" Without realizing it, I laughed too and said--"oh WOW I wasn't even thinking about that!!"
I guess this giving thing is now becoming unintentional---which is a great thing.
The other cool thing that happened was on my date last night. I figured since he bought me a wonderful dinner, I would go to the bar to buy us both an after dinner drink. When I took out my credit card to pay for the drinks the bartender handed it back to me and said "You're fine". I had seen this bartender before and he never gave me the time of day.....and out of the BLUE the drinks are ON THE HOUSE?
I had to confirm..."But I didnt pay" AGAIN he said "You're fine" and went about his business. I felt bad that I had no cash to tip him, then I realized, if the universe WAS giving me a wink and a thank-you...maybe my job was to learn how to accept it and receive. :)
