While waiting for my friend/massage therapist to finish up with a client before we were to go to lunch I picked up a magazine and browsed through the pages.. There I read Cami's story...Personally relating to it was easy under my circumstances yet I didn't think about it again until later. At lunch thinking I was on the receiving end since she treated to lunch and I was truly grateful. Spending time with her was always a blessing in my life. Today as we spoke it became apparent it was my friend that needed the gift. An understanding friend, a shoulder to lean on, a hug and holding of her hand as tears welled up. Being ill and hurt without assistance from her family with things in her life she was feeling overwhelmed. A sympathetic and compassionate friend is what she needed. It was a small gift I was able to offer her. Yes it was only a small "gift" but it was one that was needed right there and then. Helping her was a blessing in my life. It was also a reminded of all I have to be grateful for...wonderful family and friends.
