Day one, send a card.
Today is my first day on this site. I had sent a card to my aging father of 99 years, recently.
He was a Mounted Police in Canada for 23 years and retired in 1953 and has received
pension all those years. We recently had the Musical Ride come to our area, and we
made arrangments for him to take part, as he rode in the Musical Ride in New York
in 1934. They made such a fuss over him and we took pictures, and I sent them to all
the family, well since doing that the family has expanded, as they have asked me to
send the card to their kids and their kids and cousins and its grown and grown.
Talk about connected people, I have met family members I didn't know existed :-)
Even a lady where he lives, by the name of Mary mailed me a handwritten note yesterday to ask
if I could send her one of his cards with his pictures of the event. So today I will acknowledge
her note and send her the card, she is in her 90's as well. How cool is that?
I can do that so easily right from my computer, and its mailed for me.
