29-Day Giving Challenge

Day Seven - Just in the nick of time.

I should have given my nurse practitioner a gift. Instead she gave me one. 22 items on my Lipid and Metabolic panels and all of them in the good range. I felt like I was on the Biggest Loser as she told me my health age was probably five years younger than my actual age.

As far as me giving a gift, it was a tough day. Some days I think negatively for no apparent reason. I think the guy speeding is going to cut me off, when there's no real reason to think it. I think other people are going to show me that people are inheritantly bad, when that is not the case.

This is why 29 gifts is going to be good for me.

I ended up running around 7 at nite and decide I was going to run past the elementary school. I took out a dollar bill and left it on the lawn for a lucky kid or teacher to find. It made the rest of my run that much more enjoyable.

Do any of you fight with negative thoughts? I guess I could use a gift on how to handle it.

Here's a gift for all of you. As we were walking around the gift shop at the Phoenix Botanical Gardens we found a sleeping cat. Luckily, we did want these shirts.

Yes, I struggle each day with negative thoughts. Wish there were a magic cure, but it's definitely a dayby day, hour by hour struggle to avoid these and focus on good. From the looks of things it looks like you're doing a great job of acknowledging the negativity and finding ways not to get stuck there. That's great. I depend on prayer to help me turn my thoughts around. Best of luck with your giving challenge!!
