Day Twenty Nine and thoughts on where to go from here

My partner and I are doing prep work tonight on a brunch that we’ll take tomorrow to some friends who recently had a baby. To make it easier on my partner, I went out and bought all the ingredients for the brunch.

And that brings me to the end of Round One, and my thoughts on where to go from here.

I enjoyed the 29 Day Giving Challenge. I intend to someday come back here and do a Round Two. But for now, I need to sign off. My house is under contract, if all goes well I’ll be out of a house end of April, and I don’t yet have a new one. So my partner and I need to find a place to live, and to pack up and move. All the while I have an ever-expanding list of duties at work, with several business trips and multiple-day meetings this month. We also scheduled a four-day vacation this month (not expecting that my house would sell this soon!)

I want to really dedicate myself whenever I do undertake Round Two. I felt that too many of my gifts in Round One were things I would have done anyway. With real life being hectic, I didn’t feel that I devoted myself to really seeking out gifts I wouldn’t normally have given to people who normally wouldn’t have received them. I didn’t push myself like I had wanted to. (I did try – twice! – to donate blood but both times the donation center was closed). So, I’m signing off for now but hope to rejoin this community later.
