Day1-Cami has recharged by giving batteries!

I've known Cami for about a year and a half, basically since the inception of 29gifts.org. It is so amazing to see the growth of her little idea into a full-fledged phenomenon. Go Cami! I am so proud of her and of the positive impact that she is making on the world.

About a week ago my baby boy and I met Cami for brunch at Cafe 101, in Hollywood. It was the perfect meeting point, about 1/2 between our homes. It was great to catch up and hear all about the crazy book tour. Of course I told her how proud I was of her and reminded her that I featured 29 Gifts:How a Month of Giving Can Change Your Life on my site La Buena Life. I even gave away a copy to a winner in my Tentación Thursday giveaway. Cami then asked me if I had read the book yet. I hadn't. And having a 14 month old is not a good enough excuse not to have read your friend's book. So I got home and ordered it on Amazon.com. I am happy to say that I am flying through the book. It's what I look forward to at the end of my long mommy days.

So, here I am starting the 29 Day Giving Challenge, yet again. My gift today was a bag of baby boy clothes and sippy cups and bottles to a fellow neighborhood mom (who I have yet to meet). You see, I joined the local mom's club last week, via the internet, and before I even went to an event I posted that I had baby boy items to give away. The husband of the mommy came by today to pick up the items and what was so nice, and unexpected, is that he brought my son a gift (wrapped and all) to thank me for the clothes and bottles. So in giving today I also received a gift. What fun!
