Yesterday, I gave a gift to myself: I invested in myself by signing up for a meditation course. I've always wanted to learn how to meditate. Well, more than that, I've wanted to make it a daily practice. I've picked up books on it and such, but actually paid for a month-long course on how to start the habit. There's something about paying for it that has me more committed to doing it.
Today....I posted comments on other people's blogs. I've done that before, but today it was my intentional gift.

Comment by RebeccaGallo on February 3, 2012 at 8:12am Meditation is going well ladies. I am following Leo Babauta's advice on how to make a change in your life. Start small (5 minutes a day). Pick a trigger - something you do regularly after which you'll do the habit you want to start. (For me, I meditate after I get dressed for my morning walk.) Do it every day. Watch what happens.
I love his web site and have learned a lot from it. zenhabits.net It's different form other blogs in that he doesn't make me feel bad about myself, but instead tells me if I want to change, I can, and here's how. :)
Enjoy the classes Rebecca!
