Day 12: In my office I have two decks of cards, Angel Cards and Grace Cards. For this gift, I asked the decks a question for my friend Carla, closed my eyes, pulled one card from each deck, and e-mailed her with the meaning of the cards that came up.
Day 13: A patient and I had been talking about the benefits of omega-3 fatty acids. I gave her a bottle of the good organic flaxseed oil that I get for myself at Whole Foods.
Day 14: Visited my friend Lisa at work. A gift for me, too!
Day 15: Treated a high school friend to dinner.
Day 16: Called a friend from college who I've been in touch with by text, but hadn't talked to in awhile.
Day 17: As I do every year, ordered flowers to be delivered to my mother on Valentine's Day.
Day 18: Stayed late in the office so I could treat a friend who isn't feeling well and wanted an acupuncture treatment.
I had a lot more fun and enjoyment in these gifts than you might think from reading the laundry list above!
