29-Day Giving Challenge

Happy Wednesday, Gang!

Day 11
Unfortunately, my daughter who is 13 is just getting the really crappy part of becoming a "woman" and had to be picked up from school early in the day. I wasn't sure what my gft would be today, since I was home with her, but I did manage to pick up my friends kids as promised and help them with some homework questions on the way to drop them off :-) I picked up some of my daughters favorite munchies that she craves on my way home, and we watched one of her favorite movies together before bed.

Day 13
Lots of good things in the works! Found a ministry that I really think will be a great fit for me..can't wait to see them in person soon! They have been very involved in the arts community and helping the homeless as well. I have a feeling a door is about to be opened for me and I am so excited!! In that spirit, I gathered some clothes and older coats together to donate to our local Good Will and donated a little more money than I thought I should part with to PhilAbundance to help address the hunger issue. I have been out of work since last Feb, and I have been able to live on what I had set aside for an emergency, but funds are getting tight now. I know that I need to heed the words of my spiritual mentors, overcome my fears and insecurites and focus on abundance, happiness, compassion... all which are possible when in the mindset of living a purposeful life :-)

I think I am finally well on my way...Hugs to all!! ♥♥♥
