29-Day Giving Challenge

Day 153 (Sunday): Donated a dollar toward cancer research in the checkout line at Albertsons. Put together birthday gift bags for my two sisters, Colleen and Julianne, and their friend, Katie, who were coming to visit the next day. Each girl got a bag with tempurpedic slippers, a picture frame, bag of jellybeans, and heart necklace.

Day 154 (Monday): Gave a package of dried fruit that I had bought at the Farmer's Market on Saturday to our office clerk on the first floor, and to my former clerk on the second floor.

Day 155 (Tuesday): My husband and I took Colleen, Julianne, and Katie out to dinner at a nice seafood restaurant. They also loved their gift bags!!

Day 156 (Wednesday): Brought cheese and crackers to share at a lunch meeting at work. After work took the girls to rent "surreys" (pedal carts) at the beach, then to sushi and Yogurtland for dessert.

Day 157 (Thursday): Made oatmeal bars for our team race that afternoon. Made pancakes for the girls, then took them kayaking.

Day 158 (Friday): Brought sushi to a coworker's bridal shower; gave her a gift of tempurpedic slippers and some silver napkin rings that were on her registry.

Day 159 (Saturday): Bought "Chicken Soup for the Teacher's Soul" for a patient at work who had requested it. My husband and I took his sister out to dinner as a send-off for her trip to Europe to study for the summer.

Day 160 (Sunday): Made my father-in-law's favorite dessert, Boston Cream Pie, for father''s day brunch, and my husband and I took him out to see "The A-Team." Called my dad to wish him a happy father's day.

Day 161 (Monday): Brought Boston Cream Pie cupcakes to work for two coworkers whose birthdays were yesterday and today. Put together a little package of trail mix and Jamba juice gift card for a therapist whose birthday was today.
