Days 23, 24 and 25
For day 23 I hosted an Easter celebration for family who were on a brief lay-over from Kauai. For day 24 I took care of my friend's 6 year daughter all day because she had the day off school and her mom didn't. Today I was able to stop myself from being negative with my son after hearing from his teacher that his behavior has been terrible for a couple of weeks. Somehow I was able to be present and explain to him in a "kid" way exactly what changes I want to see by the end of the week. He actually got it and we didn't have any trouble for the rest of the day. It will be interesting to see what the end of the week brings.

You're giving great things to children.
I know how hard it can be for parents to find someone to watch their children so that's a great give.
And patience with your son .... and what sounds like a very meaningful conversation ... wonderful! Kids sure do know how to test patience, but they can't test our love (meaning we sometimes lose patience with them, but we never stop loving them).
