Feb 11th - I worked from 7am to 3:30, and 4:00 to 11pm. I was pooped. My gift today was being thankful I have the ability to work, and my gift to others was that I wasn't complaining. As a server in a restaurant, it's so common to try and give up your shift, pawn off tables, and just be lazy. I pulled my weight, didn't complain, and worked. And I was greatful for it. :)
Feb 12th - boyfriend's birthday is tomorrow. I treated him (and myself) to a wonderful tasting menu at the best place we have ever eaten. We had wonderful conversations, wines and a beautiful night.
Feb 13th - is his birthday. I surprised him with a birthday cake, made him dinner, went to hula class, and then treated my brother to appetizers and a drink at a nearby favorite spot for us.
Feb 14th - my coworker just happened to tell me she was going to the Monterey Bay Aquarium this weekend, and as I volunteer there, I am given a guest pass card. So I let her borrow it, so she doesn't have to pay! She was shocked and super happy! :-D I was also very helpful for my coworkers tonight, had a great work attitude and was happy all night, even after 15 hours of work (not including my hour between works). Tables were happy with my service, I could hear one table always remarking about how nice and great I was whenever I was "out of earshot". What a beautiful day.
