Days 5 & 6

I'm not sure if the act of conscious giving has made me more aware of the little gifts I receive everyday, or if I am just seeing the good karma circle back, but my life does seem to be a little more kind these days.

On day 5 of the give, I had a friend email me for some nutrition advice, as I am the expert of the group and am currently in school for Nutrition Education. I decided my gift would be to sit down and thoughtfully compose an email full of great tips and advice on the what to and what not to of eating. Hopefully, some of it rang true with my friend.

Yesterday, I felt the most challenged by this undertaking. I have had a stressful and exhausting week, and I felt like I had very little left to give other than smiles to complete strangers. I do have to say it felt good to share a kind glance, since I am so accustom to wondering around in my own world. I think sometimes that living in a city has made me a little callus to the outside world.
