Day 5: Waived a co-pay for a patient. This is something I do often during the 29-day giving challenge, and I tend to feel bad about this one because it's not very creative and it's my fallback when I'm not organized enough to do something else. What I need to remember is that it still feels like a gift to the patient who doesn't have to pay the co-pay!
Day 6: The patient from earlier in the week came in for her free treatment.
Day 7: Ordered tickets for a hockey road trip with my friends Carla and Chad--my treat!
Day 8: Treated my friend Debbie to brunch.
Day 9: Sent a very belated birthday card and note to an old friend.
Day 10: Waived a co-pay for a patient.
Day 11: I started on today's gift, which included an e-mail to a friend, but when the e-mail was finished it just didn't feel right. I deleted it and figured I'd work on it again later today. Two hours after that a patient, who pays out-of-pocket, came in and told me that she's pregnant! Today's gift was charging her half my normal rate in celebration of her good news.
