29-Day Giving Challenge

Does anyone need yarn to knit/crochet something for someone in need?

I was an avid knitter until I started to get extreme pains while knitting in my neck, shoulder, and hands. My fibro now does not allow me to knit anymore but I have an entire shelf of yarn that I would be happy to ship to someone that knits/crochet's for others. I know there are groups out there that knit tiny baby hats for new born babies in Africa and I know others knit for senior citizens. Please let me know!

i was told that you can't send packages addressed to "any serviceman" or "any service woman" anymore due to security regulations. when i was doing the Iraqi Bundles of Love thing i had to have the name of the sponsoring service member on the package. Hugs, Dawn PS go to for a list of a bunch of charities that accept yarn - Project Linus, Newborns in Need and many more.

Hey Kelly. I will see what I have. I am thinking I do have quite a bit of bright colors :). I just sent a bunch of girlie things to a group of military women because they wanted to feel feminine, so maybe they would actually enjoy girlie colors! I know you can even write on the package something to the idea of to any woman or something like that. I will check later tonight the colors and write them down for you. I also have a ton of needles if anyone needs them.

I was planning on getting some knitters and crocheters together to see if they would be willing to knit some hats, scarves and things to send overseas in a care package to our soldiers. I would be interested in taking things off your hands (I'll pay for shipping of course) - especially any black, tan, olive green you might have.. nothing really neon or bright. Please let me know if the offer is still on the table and hopefully we can help each other out. :)
