mnjh5At this time of the year kids in the Netherlands celebrate the birthday of Saint Nicolas with lots of gifts for young and old. To keep with the tradition I decided to treat my coworkers on some Dutch spice cookies made with cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg, Everyone who ate one, liked them. Unfortunately, I don't have a recipe to bake them, so when they're gone, they're gone.
That evening at home I finally found the courage to call my bank to discuss several fees for NSF checks the month before. I spoke with a customer agent in India who did not have authority to handle my request. But the supervisor had, and when I explained the situation and requested to waive some of the fees, she hesitated a moment to verify my account. But she graciously refunded 3 NSF charges because I was a loyal customer in good standing.
I think that being nice and giving to others provides good energy and, maybe that caused the bank supervisor to be very customer oriented. It gave me great satisfaction and I felt blessed.
