Healing has been a really hard thing to come by this year.
Emotionally everyone has been torn apart due to all of the deaths our school has experienced in just the past 8 months.
Sometimes you feel like talking about how you feel to other people will just bring them down. And not talking about it makes you feel alone.
Today I was talking to my friend, Matt. He was very close with 2 of the 3 boys that died in the car crash this summer.
It was a relief for both of us to know we are not alone in this.
I think this was a gift to both him and myself.

You have been through so much, Ashleigh, in such a short time; thank you for sharing & I'm very glad you are here.
I agree with Lefty--people are thinking about it even if they don't say. I had the same experience Lefty did recently--a coworker died about 2 years ago of cancer & I emailed her husband around the anniversary of her death... just wanted him to know I was thinking of him & that it was OK to talk about anything he needed to because I had been around them a lot more in the weeks before & after her death. And the email I got back was pretty long for him, yes, lots still to be said.
I hope you are getting enough support for yourself, too--???? And I hope your Giving is keeping you grounded in even a small way at this time.
Big hug,
L
I have a friend whose wife was killed in an accident many years ago. We had him over for dinner on the one year anniversary and I told him I never knew if I should talk about it with him because I didn't want to remind him of it. He told me he never forgets about it, so I would never be reminding him, so it was okay to talk about it. It seemed so obvious when he told me that, yet I hadn't figured it out on my own. It was good advice for me.
Support is so importing..keep up the conversation, it will certainly help the other person, but you, as well..Healing is a process that you are all needing to experience...hugs to you....
It is and I am so glad you have one another for support and love through such a tragedy~ xoxo
