Friday, Jan 28, I bought my mother two new belts, and I went to a different Walmart! A gift and something new...I also brought a coffee in (again) for my bestie. Saturday, I cleaned and cooked and had a "game night." Both kids had friends over. It was the first time I've ever spent any time with my bestie's husband. (He's been on a sub for the last six months...) So, that was definitely something new. I think everyone had a good time. Sunday, I taught Sunday School and hung out with my boyf for a couple of hours...Not really anything new there...Back to work on Monday... I wish I had something more exciting for the last day of January! However, I think, overall, the month was a success. I joined the "Y," died my hair pink, and had lots of company and celebrations. I also did a lot of shoveling!
Sooooooooooo....what's next? First of all, I want to be careful not to challenge myself to too many things, because I don't want to get overwhelmed. That's not going to help me. (I need to lose weight, get on a budget, get organized, just for starters!) I wanted to get rid of something in the house or in my classroom every day this month. However, I'm not sure that is going to work out exactly, so I've decided to just make sure 28 things leave this house this month. (I started cleaning my classroom yesterday. Huge piles of paper went into the recycling bin). I also want to make February Fitness Month! I had carrots and hummus with my lunch yesterday, and today I had applesauce with lunch. And, I haven't been drinking diet soda at work - just water. They are small things, but usually I had chips or Doritos with my lunch. Also, I will begin again trying to consciously give a gift every day.(I feel like I fell short on this in January).
