29-Day Giving Challenge

So, yesterday was my first "official" day of gift-giving! By lunch, I was starting to get a little nervous. Then, into the lunchroom walked a cute little teacher who recently returned from maternity leave. She was rummaging through her lunchbag, and I heard her say, "Don't tell me I forgot the sauce!!!" Then, she put her rice in the microwave and said, "That really stinks!!!" So, I said, "I have an extra 'emergency' lunch if you want it!" After a little encouragement, she agreed to eat my Back to Nature microwaveable mac and cheese (which I have been searching for - for months - and thought was discontinued, but I guess it just has a new package :) - YAY). So, I gave her the first micro mac and cheese I have been able to find in at least 6 months! And though I may not know her name, she didn't have to eat plain rice!!!!! Anyway, I realized I would have given it to her anyway, challenge or no challenge! So, no more anxiety about being able to give my gifts each day. Today I gave my first gift right away in the morning, then just kept on going from there!!!! I am MUCH more mindful, though, and things can only get better :)

Well you are off to a great start! That was a very nice give, and especially so because you gave away something that you clearly enjoy yourself! Enjoy the rest of your 29 days. :)
