29-Day Giving Challenge

The first week of the 29-Day Giving Challenge has been wonderful for me. It seems that things are coming to me that I can do without me even looking. I find that amazing and wonder if I just wasn't aware before. Anyway in the first week I did the following:

1. Put postage on a letter that was being returned to a neighbor and ended up in my mail box - so I added it and took it to the post office.
2. Gave donation to a friend's benefit for victims ot typhoon in the Philippines.
Mailed card to 5 year old boy dying of cancer.
Mailed card to 29-Day Challenge member's Mother
3. Sent a stress-kit I found on-line to a good friend of mine who is going through a rough time.
4. Provided food for a food drive at my acupuncture doctor's office.
5. Friend of mine's church is collecting pennies for a program called puppiesvbehindbars.com where the inmates train puppies for service work. I filled the jar with pennies I had and will return it to her this Sunday.
6. Sending calendars which I receive in the mail to the Wounded Warriors who are servicemen returning from the war.
7. Sent birthday balloons to my acupuncture doctor for his birthday - he is so wonderful and caring to me in helping me through a chronic illness.

Looking forward to the coming days.

My post is just below yours Sandy, I truly feel as if I have received way more than I gave this week. I too am experiencing gifts given to me that I did not anticipate, it's a transformative feeling!
