29-Day Giving Challenge

Not sure if anyone will agree that this is a gift and I am not sharing b/c I want people to be sad ..... I lost a loved one to suicide Jan 25, 2008 as a result I am a fan of AFSP on facebook. Today they posted a link to a good Charlotte song "Hold On" There were alot of comments and I finally was compelled to share. In a nutshell what I said was that even though we are in pain and have LOTS of questions, WHY? When we really sit back it wasn't our life to live. We all have our own journeys and lessons to learn and we need to trust that our loved one is at peace and concentrate on what our lesson is in the pain. I am now at peace with myself and my brother's decision. I received a few private messages on my facebook page thanking me and one on the actual page. One person said "that couldn't be said better" Today I feel I gave her a gift. We all have to trust in our higher power and the lessons we came here to learn. Blessings and love today. The day is still young though. Hmmmm wonder what other gifts I can give today. xo

I myself have lost my father to this terrible thing called suicide...I agree with you on it being their life and choices made. It's not my right to judge as I have come to understand the pain one must be in to come to this place in their lives.I, like you have come to learn many lessons in life and I know he couldn't go on in the pain he suffered daily.Thank you for reminding me how precious life is and to carry love in my heart for all who choose this. I am off to begin my day of giving. Blessings to you and everyone~
