Gifts 7 and 8
So, I'm a little bit hooked on leaving things on people's doorsteps... :-)
Yesterday I wrote down a quote and left it on my neighbors doorstep.
There is this woman who lives in my dad's apartment building who stands outside smoking a lot of the time. She always looks kind of sad and lonely. Today my gift was to write down a quote about happiness and self-worth, and leave it on her doorstep along with some pretty purple flowers!
Tonight our friend Jim, the one I mentioned before who has a brain tumor, was playing at the cafe downtown. My mom was going, and I wasn't sure if I wanted to go or not. I decided to go even though none of my friends could make it. For me, this was an accomplishment in itself! Anyway, I ended up having a great time, and I was really glad I went to support him and his family.
