Before doing 29 gifts for the first time, I did give to people but not every day. Now, giving has become a way of life and I do take time to give to myself - to decompress - to relax. I have started to do something for myself every day. Before, I would only do something for myself once in a blue moon (and we don't see those very often).
I have found some interesting things out about people through my gtiving.
While I work hard on promoting my published books as well as ministry work, I do have a weekly contest to give some things away for free. Because of my extremely busy schedule, I send out whatever can fit into an envelope. I host my contests on Twitter.
What has surprised and saddened me, are the people that complain the contest is on Twitter. They don't do Twitter and there are some people who are short on cash that tell me their too busy to tweet, although I have given cash away as a contest gift. When I gave the cash away, only 1 person entered the contest. I gave away $5.
I am saddened that people want things their way - to fit into their molds - instead of stretching themselves to better themselves.
My prayer is for the people who need to get out of their ruts - for them to rise up, be motivated and do what isn't convenient to have a better life.
I will keep giving as that is part of what I do every day.
