29-Day Giving Challenge

YYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWNNNNNNNNNNNN!

What a week! 350 absent yesterday and 5 confirmed cases of the piggy flu... so they finally decided to close us on Monday seeing has having the students clean their own desks every day at first and last classes hasn't helped.

On the way home about half way into my hour commute yesterday I got a flat tire. Yippe. After several calls to both Chrysler and my road side assistace, a truly nice human being- a guy in a Comcast truck stopped and changed my tire! He refused to take any money for it and joked with me while he worked. (Good thing he didn't mind I'm a FIOS gal...)

Then last night my neighbor came over and my mom spent almost two hours working with her on learning to knit. I went to the class with her last Wednesday because she was scared to go by herself, and by the end of last night she was even showing my dog- "Look, Nani! I'm a knitter!" It was adorable.

I've been lucky to witness these events this week!

Oh, no! I'm a teacher - don't want to hear that this is happening in your school! =)

Hope it all gets taken care of fast and easily!

i am guessing that FIOS must be your local competitor to Comcast? what a nice guy, to stop and help a damsel in distress. i hope that your students get well fast. Hugs, Dawn

Wow, what a week is right. How long will school stay closed? I have no idea what FIOS mean, It was so nice of that guy to help you. You are being very good to your neighbor. Great give supporting her and helping her find a new talent.
