29-Day Giving Challenge

Our beloved "Squishy"--smart, adorable, sweet guinea pig--died of a heart attack last night, well before his time, despite my best efforts to save him. Identifying this effort as my 'give' for the day was my lesson in giving, even when it doesn't create what we want, but simply because we must give it. There is nothing that could stop me from calling myself forward for this sweet little creature, and for my daughter who loved and cared for him so much.

I am sorry about your loss and I know your daughter is sad and having to come to grips with the passing of a beloved pet. I still cry sometimes about various kitty cats I've lost in recent years.... I had a pure white hamster named Charlie when I was little - for a hamster he was very smart. When he died I thought the world had ended. So I feel for your daughter. My condolences again......
