Happy Thanksgiving everyone! My gift today is to take a tray of goodies to our police department and local emergency department. I know it can be difficult to have to work and be away from families today, so I wanted them to know that they are appreciated and wished a most joyous holiday.
I am very grateful to be sharing this giving journey with all of you and wish you a wonderful day of Thanksgiving. :)

Thank you, Valerie, Lois and Mare....it was fun, even though I was a bit nervous. I think they enjoyed, that's what counts. :)
What a terrific gift idea. I may have to steal that one at Christmas. Better yet, any weekend would work. THANKS!!
Well, I'll bet you were greeted with huge smiles and gratitude!! I have thought about doing this from time to time and chicken out for some reason....I admire you for this!

Thank you, Deb and 911 dispatcher...I hope the sweet treats bring some smiles. Happy Thanksgiving! :)
Comment by 911dispatcher on November 24, 2011 at 7:16am From a dispatcher who is working today I just want you to know that all of us in law enforcement etc are extremely grateful when people like you show your appreciation. People tend to loose sight for those of us who work 24/7 to take care of the community and are not able to spend time with our families on the holidays. On behalf of the departments you are cooking for Thank you.
