Betty Chin is a local angel who feeds the homeless everyday, sometimes even from her own pocket when supplies run low. She even raised money to build showers for the homeless. She put the word out that washcloths were needed for the showers, so I collected some at home, plus some from a friend. Now I have a whole grocery bag full of washcloths to donate! I like the way Betty does things, because she puts the word out for simple things providing many people a chance to easily give to a good cause.

Comment by Dawn wwt on February 16, 2012 at 5:51am whenever i catch myself thinking "but what can one person do?" i'm going to remind myself of Betty Chin.
when i first moved to Albuquerque there was a 'day shelter' where you could take a shower and get a clean change of clothes, etc. i can't begin to tell you what a difference that made in my life. Hurray for Betty and hurray for you and everyone who helps to make this possible! Hugs, Dawn
She sounds like a Hero and an Angel...what a great way to donate!
