29-Day Giving Challenge

in addition to day 1 (I figured this site out)

I was literally struck down in my steps one day at work. I was an activities assistant at a nursing home, a student, mom and wife. All my activity caused me to lose some major weight which was a Godsend. I was in the best shape of my life. One day I was leaving my bosses office and I was struck with horrible pain in my back. Brought me to my knees. Now I walk with a cane, very slowly, and have to get around with the help of wheelchairs and scooters in the stores and other places. I haven't found out what is wrong but have gotten some test results that look bad. I have been feeling sorry for myself and can't get movin most days. I am to young for this I tell myself. But I came across this challenge on facebook compliments of a friend and it may be just what I needed. I took a friends daughter to a final at college today because she didnt have a ride and it felt so good to have to get up and do something for someone else. Then I came home and logged into facebook where I found this....and here I go!

Dear Diane, I feel so much emphathy for you. I have had my back go out on me a few times to where I was almost completely immobilized for days. Very scarey. I hope your situation is only temporary and that you will be up and around better soon. No age is a good age for your back to go out...
